Board of Directors: At the District's request (Resolution 2-04), Directors began to be appointed by the Santa Clara Board of Supervisors in 2002 due to the rising cost of elections, which were paid for by the District. The County appoints on a biennial basis in November of even-numbered years.

Associate Directors: Associates provide value to the District by providing additional expertise to the Board, including but not limited to the areas of: natural resources conservation and management; agricultural and grazing management practices; environmental health; land use; engineering; physical and life sciences; public outreach and education; and local government policy and procedures. Associate Directors are appointed by the Board of Directors for four-year terms. - Personnel Policies/Employee Handbook: The District's handbook is currently undergoing a revision to add health, dental and vision benefits package that was approved by the Board. The existing policies and handbook can be found here .
- District Compensation: In compliance with state law, we provide reports to the State Controller's office annually. Board and Staff member compensation can be viewed on the State Controller's PublicPay website.
Consulting Opportunities: We sometimes use consultants to complete limited term special projects. Interested parties can subscribe to RFP/RFQ announcements.
