GCRCD's mission is to provide education and technical assistance to constituents and watershed stakeholders to sustainably manage soil, water and wildlife with the best available science. In furtherance of its mission, the Board of Directors strategically plans its activities on a short- and long-term basis:
- The purpose of the Long Range Plan is to describe the District, identify its priority natural resource issues, establish long-range district goals, and develop a framework to identify priorities for annual district activities. The Long Range Plan also serves as a method of providing information to government agencies, community-based organizations, watershed stakeholders and individual members of the public regarding District programs and goals.
- The Board approves an Annual Work Plan each fiscal year listing scheduled and planned activities to guide implementation of the strategies set forth in the long range plan on an annual basis.
