Gerardo Ixteyo Loera is a non-profit strategist, grant writer, and communications expert with over three decades of experience advancing equity, cultural preservation, and environmental justice in Indigenous and underserved communities. As a member of the Board of Directors for the North Santa Clara Resource Conservation District, he brings a deep commitment to ceremonial stewardship, honoring Indigenous relationships with the land and uplifting traditional knowledge.
Gerardo's expertise spans public relations, policy advocacy, coalition building, and nonprofit development. His work bridges community wisdom with institutional systems to promote inclusive, sustainable conservation efforts. A respected ceremonial leader and consultant, Gerardo works to ensure that local and regional conservation policies reflect the histories, rights, and ongoing contributions of Native peoples.
Director Loera was appointed to the District's Board of Directors in December 2024.
