The Silver Creek Linear Park Wetlands Project hopes to begin data collection in early 2021. The project was funded by PG&E, with additional in-kind and cash contributions provided by GCRCD and Valley Water. The project wili determine the likely size and pathways o{ winter flows that leave the main channel during storm events. Up to 6 water gauges wiil be instal{ed near the divergence of the two channels and in the wetlands. The results of the study could inform ultimate management of flows at the project site for enhancement of aquatic habitat, reduced flood risk and protection of infrastructure.
