Director Jeannie Entin

Jeannie Entin has lived in San Jose since 2010. She is a science and technology communications professional with more than 25 years of experience. 

She helps people and organizations communicate their vision and value to the world through strategic communications, media relations, writing, multimedia content production, public speaking, and community engagement. 

She has applied her passion for communications to leadership roles in public and private organizations including Berkeley Lab, Google, IBM Research, AT&T Labs, and Udacity, along with agriculture, climate, and energy tech startups. 

She also volunteers with Mothers Out Front Silicon Valley, Greenfoothills.org, FIRST.org, the Sprouts organic gardening program at Hacienda Environmental Science elementary, PRSA Silicon Valley, and the Castillero middle school PTA.

She has a B.S. in Business Administration and a B.A. in English Literature from the University of Arizona. She tends to two children, two dogs, a handful of fruit trees, and vegetable garden beds at her home between Canoas Creek and Martial Cottle Park.

Director Entin was appointed by the Santa Clara County Board of Supervisors to fill the unexpired term of former Director Cindy McColl.  She was sworn into office on January 30, 2024.
