Julie Gantenbein is a shareholder of Water and Power Law Group PC, and serves as District Counsel.  She has extensive experience representing local governments, public agencies, conservation groups, developers, and property and facility owners as general and special counsel in matters to enhance both environmental quality and water and energy supplies. She is conversant in the Clean Water Act, Endangered Species Act, Federal Power Act, Law of the River, Multiple Use-Sustained Yield Act, National Environmental Policy Act, Natural Gas Act, National Historic Preservation Act, Brown Act, California Fish and Game Code, California Water Code, California Environmental Quality Act, Porter-Cologne Act, Public Records Act, and Sustainable Groundwater Management Act. She is also a certified mediator and previously worked as an attorney for the Natural Heritage Insitute, a non-profit law and consulting firm, representing public agencies and conservation groups in hydropower, water rights, and other cases to protect and enhance environmental and recreational benefits of public waters.
